The Block: ‘Lambo Guy’ Adrian Portelli’s net worth revealed

A self-made millionaire dubbed “Lambo Guy” after his surprising – and hugely impactful – appearance on reality television series The Block has a lifestyle most could only dream about experiencing.

Adrian Portelli made headlines after he pushed the price of Omar Slaimankhel and Ozman “Oz” Abu Malik’s house up to a record $5.6m – well above the $4m reserve – in a bidding war with serial Block house buyer Danny Wallis.

But apparently the eye-watering amount means little to the savvy businessman, who is reportedly worth $350m and recently bought a rare supercar for $6.5m.

Mr Portelli arrived at the auction in a bright yellow Lamborghini Aventador SVJ and wanted the house to use as a prize for his LMCT+ business, which raffles boats, cars and houses.

But some viewers were critical of his appearance on the show, suggesting he was not a genuine buyer, and assumed he was a friend there to jack up the price.

Mr Portelli took to social media to deny those claims.

“For everyone questioning the legitimacy of the auction, I was a genuine buyer with every intention to purchase that property,” he wrote.

“Nobody is to blame for what happened. It’s an auction.

“Believe it or not but if you’ve got two people that genuinely want the property a bidding war will happen.

“I’m happy to show my bank account for anyone that suggests these were dummy bids.”

The 33-year-old dropped out of university to work at his dad’s truck repair business before eventually making his millions through tech start-ups in Los Angeles.

It was a rocky journey though from rags to riches.

He had initially intended to start up a limousine business for celebrities in the US but struggled to pay the rent on his apartment, so he advertised for a boarder.

His flatmate turned out to be a tech genius who helped him develop a couple of successful apps that they sold for a huge price tag.

The car enthusiast now works in online promotions from Melbourne where he runs the LMCT+ business that he started in 2018.

In August, he reportedly bought a Gold Coast mansion for $2.3m.

He also reportedly owns another property on Queensland’s Hope Island and is also building a house in Sanctuary Cove.

Mr Portelli is also behind charity The Little Legends Foundation, which aims to help Australian children suffering from chronic illnesses and disabilities.
